Performance is more than adequate, and the new larger brakes haul it down with authority and improved pedal feel thanks to a dual-bore master cylinder. When driving a large vehicle it's often hard to tell how wheel input will translate to the road, but not in the navigator. It is rock solid yet surprisingly agile and comfortable on the road, even on rough surfaces. The all wheel drive system is awesome. In low range it shifts the engine's electronic throttle control to a special off-road calibration for more precise torque management in the worst conditions, such as climbing hills under slippery conditions. Inside the cabin, big, plush seats welcome the driver and passengers. The comfortable seats and soft suspension were both welcome on long rides. The stereo, with sirius satellite service, is superb. The second and third rows each fold flat to increase cargo space. The national highway traffic safety administration gave the navigator a five-out-of-five-star frontal crash-test rating.
